I sit in my snowy corner
writing wishful thoughts
on a coffee-covered napkin,
warmed by the golden glow
of the streetlights and passing cars
outside my window
and shivering with the possibility
that you may never show.
Minutes morph into hours
as i turn my bleary eyes to the clock
it's strange to me
how in a world in constant motion,
I am still
yours.
